ohai there
bloody hell that was a long two & a half weeks wasnt it :') hahaha sorry, utterly slipped my mind.
well, where to start then...perhaps where we left off?
when last we met i was about to head off to the exotic lands of india, this i did & my god it was amazing. I climbed a water tower, negotiated indian traffic, rode in a rickshaw, rode ON an elephant, walked through the taj mahal barefoot &...they let me play with a pickaxe!!! XD it really was a fantastic experience & im really glad i went even though i did miss my boyfriend a lot & somehow managed to get a cold...a cold, in india?! i worked with a community partner while at sangam that helps to educate & care for children & also promote awareness & treatment for aids. the children we worked with were so cute & they seemed to like me, they certainly liked jumping on me anyways.
then less than a week after i arrived home i found myself on a rather entertaining camping trip with aforementioned boyfriend & a group of our friends. it was certainly eventful to say the least, with one night involving a certain incident which resulted in myself being thrust over the BBQ (not maliciously or intentionally & i wasnt hurt, no worries)
shortly after arriving home i had my hair re-dyed, purple with black highlights, & realised that i had lost my firestaff to a taxi home from newcastle prior to leaving the country. i had no luck trying to trace its whereabouts & so never reclaimed my dear marni but have acquired a set of fire poi since which are just as awesome.
as the end of summer neared i found myself rushing around trying to find something to do by september (having passed at shiney row but not enough to continue to the second year). having decided that the apprenticeship i had shown interest in before leaving for india had fallen flat i checked in at the local connexions office & was advised to return to college, though perhaps a different one to where id already studied. at this suggestion i landed at gateshead doing a musical theatre course (this has since failed & i have dropped out due to struggling with theory work & dance (yuck) ).
not long after i had applied, auditioned & been accepted to this my boyfriends parents left on holiday for two weeks & so i found myself staying over while they were gone. during my time there i was educated in the ways of the lord of the rings series, we 'rescued' a hodgeheg (as i recall we named him derek) & discovered that not only can i gladly sit & watch my boyfriend play xbox for hours on end without getting bored, im also none to bad on it myself (at least when it comes to defeating evil bosses, like the butterfly bitch, on ninja gaiden II). i had also started my new college course by this time but seeing as thats fucked now its pretty irrelevant.
the next milestone i suppose would be my boyfriend getting us tickets to see ralph mctell as an early 6month anniversary present, which was sweet. it was a lovely night out with him & his parents & after the concert we met the man himself, got our tickets signed & he even gave my boyfriend the guitar strings he'd used the night before (he changes them before each show) which made him so happy he just wandered off in a stunned silence. bless him. he has since framed these strings alongside the signed ticket & a picture of ralph on a black backdrop (which the printer fucked up at the bottom but in a way that looks like a musical score which looks awesome behind the strings)
from there we move on to christmas, which was spent...on holiday in a cottage with the family. would have preferred alternative company as my family arent the easiest people to be around for long periods of time but it was still pretty good, i mean how often to you get to spend christmas day in a hot-tub?! :') yeah, i know, awesome.
from then not much has happened, the band fell apart not long after summer so there werent practices to go to anymore. my boyfriend was in a new band as of shortly before halloween. the firestaff group had changed venues & i havent been going due to lack of funds. i turned 18 in february which was a good weekend. got my first tattoo shortly after which looks fantastic, even better than i imagined it. & i may be getting a call in the next week or so from some people who own a recording studio if they're interested in working with me since i sent them my CD from the studio time in newcastle the other year my grandparents got me.
so, without all the boring, twiddly bits in or any depressing rubbish that you dont wanna hear, that about sums it up. thats what i've been up to for the best part of a year, impressive, no? :') haha sorry for leaving it so long
anywhoos, thats enough of my ramblings to keep you happy for now methininks
ciao dudes :p xxx
